Pastor Frederick O’Neal Patterson Sr. was born in Austin, Texas and is the ninth child of ten children born to Pastor Charles and District Missionary Georgetta Patterson. He learned the importance of loving and serving God at an early age.

Pastor Patterson was especially anointed with musical aptitude as a young child, teaching himself to play several instruments including the alto saxophone, piano, organ and drums. Pastor Patterson worked faithfully for many years under the pastoral leadership of his father and mother.

He was appointed as a teacher in the Sunday School and Youth (YPWW) Departments. He also worked as Program Coordinator and Transportation Department Supervisor/Driver for the ministry.

In 2004, Pastor Patterson was appointed pastor of the Morning Glory Church of God in Christ.  Under his leadership the ministry has grown and touched the lives of many in the Austin and surrounding areas.

The Morning Glory Church is a member of Texas Southwest Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop S. E. Iglehart and the La Grange District led by Superintendent Elroy Darden. Pastor Patterson has served as a director and Executive Business Administrator for the Texas Southwest Music Department. He also serves as Minster of Music, Secretary for the Pastors and Elders Council, Finance Team, and is a member of the Program and Planning Committee for the La Grange District.

Pastor Patterson is a spiritually, anointed preacher, singer and prolific speaker. One of his personal mottos is “Are you Available for God?” He is passionate and committed to helping others grow and mature in the Word of God. God has gifted Pastor Patterson with an ability to encourage, inspire, and motivate others to “press toward the mark”.

Today, Pastor Patterson is leading a thriving congregation, moving forward to greater heights and moving the church into position to experience the glory of God presence. With Gods help and Pastor Patterson’s vision, the Morning Glory Church will continue Perfecting People, Impacting Lives and Walking in destiny.

Sharing life and ministry with Pastor Patterson is his wife of nearly 22 years Missionary Lisa Davis-Patterson. They are the parents to one son, Frederick “O’Neal” Patterson Jr. who has inherited his father’s gift of music and is a sports enthusiast.
