The Usher Department serves as doorkeepers, committed to: helping and servicing in a friendly manner to encourage an atmosphere of worship with decency and order, to the Glory of God. The Morning Glory Usher department embodies:
Psalms 84:10 that says: “I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.”
THE PURPOSE: The Usher Board serves as the pastor’s personal representatives to the congregations and visitors to the church. Ushers greet people when they first arrive at church, provide assistance to people before, during, and throughout the service. An usher helps members and visitors feel comfortable by directing those in service and serves with spiritual dignity during the church service.
